About M.A.D

At (MAD), we are more than just an intervention programme — we are a movement of hope, resilience, and transformation for young people who face some of the harshest challenges in our communities. Our mission is simple but profound: to empower the next generation with the skills, confidence, and support they need to not only survive but to thrive. We recognise that many young people are growing up in environments where trauma, violence, exploitation, and fear are far too common. MAD is committed to breaking these cycles through practical, life-changing actions. We provide young people with emergency first aid training to give them real-world skills that can save lives — including their own. We deliver crime re-education workshops that challenge harmful narratives around knife crime and exploitation, offering instead a vision of resilience, leadership, and self-worth. Through creative arts like Alphabet Art, and inclusive sports initiatives, we offer positive outlets for trauma, anger, and frustration. We build environments where every young person feels seen, heard, and valued — no matter their background or challenges. Our aim is not just to intervene at the point of crisis, but to walk alongside young people as they heal, grow, and find their voice. We help them rebuild their self-esteem, create healthy coping strategies, and see themselves as future leaders, not future statistics. In the communities we serve, MAD strives to transform fear into confidence, isolation into belonging, and hopelessness into purpose. We are building a generation that is better equipped to make positive choices, support their peers, and lead their communities towards a safer, stronger future. MAD stands as a shield, a guide, and a source of strength — empowering young people to overcome their traumas, believe in themselves, and change the world around them. We don’t lecture. We don’t patronise. We train, heal, inspire, and empower. Protect. Empower. Transform. MAD is ready to build safer communities — borough by borough, child by child.
