Summary

Our small animal assistants play a vital role in looking after rabbits, birds, rodents, guinea pigs, and lots of other small animals until they find a new home.

Detailed description

This is a role to help us care for our small animals whilst they are looking for new homes. This role takes place in the mornings, starting around 8.45 - 9am.


What you will be doing

  • Providing food and water
  • Cleaning the animal accommodation
  • Checking to see if the animals are happy and healthy
  • Restocking supplies
  • Washing food trays etc


The skills you need

  • Volunteers will need to be able to work alone and carry out physical tasks
  • Be happy working with hay, fur and feathered animals
  • A passion for animal welfare

You’ll need to be aged 16 or over - some centres may require you to be aged 18 years or over.
