Spread a message of hope as an It Gets Better UK stallholder at Cambridge Pride

We're It Gets Better UK – an international movement which tells positive stories of LGBTQ+ adulthood to provide positive and reassuring messages to LGBTQ+ young people.

At Pride, we hold a stall where people can tell their stories, learn stories from other people, share messages to their younger selves, and be part of the It Gets Better community. We're looking for people who'd like to join our stall as part of the volunteer team.

Volunteers will:

• Help set up and tidy up stand at beginning/end of event.

• Welcome people to the stall, invite them to learn about stories from others in the community, and

share their own stories.

• Engage event participants in positive messaging opportunities and story-collecting via our

whiteboards: “a message to my younger self”.

• Signpost people to our resources and how we can support them.

• Listen to stall attendees’ stories with warmth and respect.
