Summary
As part of the cooking team, you'll be working with other volunteers to turn surplus food into a nutritious meal!Detailed description
Our cooking volunteers arrive on a Monday morning at 9.30 to chop, boil, fry and bake their way through the surplus food donated to us. Every week we receive different food items that our cooking volunteers creatively transform into a three course meal for our guests to enjoy. There is the opportunity to learn new skills in the kitchen, work as a team, and meet a wide variety of people. We invite our guests in from 12.30 and serve approximately 60 people a week ranging from the elderly, homeless, families or people who just want to connect with their local community. We run every week but there is no expectation to commit every week - you can sign up whenever you are available!
