Volunteer Opportunity: Help Us Make a Difference in one of our foodbank locations! 

Foodbank Volunteer

When: Various times

Where: March, Chatteris, Ely, Warehouse, Drivers

About the Role: 

We’re expanding our volunteer team and would love to welcome you! Join our small, friendly group in creating a warm, inviting atmosphere for our community members at foodbank sessions or driving our van or helping at our warehouse!

As a volunteer, you’ll help set up the hall, greet and chat with our clients over tea or coffee, and ensure that they feel comfortable and supported, or collect donations from supermarkets and help sort it in our warehouse ready for delibery to our foodbank sessions. Your responsibilities could include: 

  • Packing food items for distribution. 
  • Preparing tea and coffee. 
  • Greeting and booking in clients
  • Optionally participating in listening training if you're interested. 
  • Collection donations from supermarkets, churches, schools
  • Sorting food in our warehouse

At the end of each session, we tidy up the space to leave it just as we found it.
