Summary

Build relationships with local community groups and and help to bridge gaps in local needs.

Detailed description

You’ll help to make links with as many local community groups as possible; helping to reach those who may not be aware of our service, or feel it is not accessible to them. You will help to create partnerships, understand the needs of the local community and spread the word about CAP.

As a volunteer community liaison, you might:

  • Begin to liaise with the smaller communities in Peterborough
  • Build relationships and start to understand needs
  • Attend local events
  • Promote us as a service and spread the word on our structure, barriers and capabilities
  • Promote and encourage people to consider our volunteering opportunities
  • Promote our training opportunities
  • After some time consider where we are able to collaborate for funding/advice services/volunteering to fulfil needs

We expect this role to be flexible, with some time from home - emailing/making calls but some time required for in-person visits and events.
