Summary
To promote and embed a culture of safeguarding in the county and ensure that the County is fully compliant with the Safeguarding requirements.Detailed description
The County Safeguarding would join a friendly team of volunteers who love the sport of tennis and are happy to help with the running of tennis activities across the County. We all gain great satisfaction from the contribution we make to ensuring tennis is accessible to all people within the county. The CSO would assist in supporting registered venues to put in place procedures to safeguard children (U18), adults and engage with venue Welfare Officers and others on how to deal with safeguarding issues.
They would review and update county safeguarding policies and checklists on a regular basis to ensure compliance with LTA safeguarding guidance and support registered venues to achieve minimum safeguarding standards.
The CSO will attend 4 committee meetings per year, a safeguarding conference and other forums as required. They would attend a 3 hour on-line Safeguarding course. A DBS if not held already would be required.
