About The Leprosy Mission

The Leprosy Mission is the world’s largest leprosy-focused organisation, a pioneer in our field, with 140 years’ experience serving people affected by this disease. As a leading international Christian development charity, we work in 10 countries across Africa and Asia to defeat leprosy and transform lives.

Today, one person every two minutes is diagnosed with leprosy. It’s a disease of poverty, striking the most vulnerable. Left untreated, it causes permanent disability. Stigma means that people affected by this disease are often rejected by those closest to them. Jesus healed people with leprosy, and this role is an amazing opportunity to continue this work and bring hope in His name.
