Our befriending service connects volunteers with disabled adults and the elderly in Peterborough who may feel isolated.
As a Befriender, you will:
- Offer friendly conversation and emotional support, through weekly phone calls
- Attend weekly coffee mornings and introduce your client to others in their community
- Build trust and connection over time
- Help integrate your client into their local community and introduce them to local activities and people
- Be the support they need to build their confidence
- Respect boundaries and confidentiality
- Report any concerns to staff promptly

About Shopmobility
Our Shopmobility service loans wheelchairs and scooters so everyone can access the city center. We also have a number of fold-able wheelchairs and scooters available for long or short-term private hire.
We also offer various social events, such as a regular coffee morning
