Our befriending service connects volunteers with disabled adults and the elderly in Peterborough who may feel isolated.

As a Befriender, you will:

    • Offer friendly conversation and emotional support, through weekly phone calls
    • Attend weekly coffee mornings and introduce your client to others in their community
    • Build trust and connection over time
    • Help integrate your client into their local community and introduce them to local activities and people
    • Be the support they need to build their confidence
    • Respect boundaries and confidentiality
    • Report any concerns to staff promptly

🛑 You’re not expected to provide personal care, medical advice, run errands or solve complex problems.
