Family friend, host family or resource friend, you could practically and emotionally support a family in your local community.
Full training and DBS provided for free.

About Safe Families and Home for Good
Safe Families is a charity that works with 35+ local authorities around the UK. Safe Families offer hope, belonging and support to children, families and care leavers; we do this primarily, but not exclusively, with and through local churches.
We exist because no one should feel alone. We exist to create relationship and connection because everyone deserves to belong.
We have three volunteering opportunities to get involved:
1. Family Friend: Family friends work directly with families. Coming alongside and giving support to parents and children when they need it most, making sure they feel less isolated
2. Host Families: Host families open their homes to look after children for a night or two up to a couple of weeks. This gives a regular break and space to families dealing with issues or challenges.
3. Resource Friend: Individuals who are able to provide (or transport) useful items, such as a cot or children's clothing. We also welcome those with helpful skills, such as cooking or gardening.
