Love animals and the outdoors? Volunteer at our City Farm and enjoy the therapeutic benefits of caring for animals while supporting our community.
New Ark’s City Farm is looking for volunteers who want to make a real difference in our community by helping to care for our animals and supporting the therapeutic environment they help us to create.
Our City Farm is at the heart of New Ark - a place where children, young people and adults of all ages and abilities can connect with nature, build confidence, and experience the wellbeing benefits of spending time with animals.
What the role involves
- Caring for our animals and supporting their wellbeing
- Helping maintain our farm and outdoor spaces
- Being part of a friendly, supportive volunteer team
Who we’re looking for
People who are:
- Passionate about animals and nature
- Looking for a meaningful, hands‑on volunteer role
We are specifically looking for somebody who can offer a weekly commitment of time on Wednesday or Friday afternoons, but we would love to hear from any prospective volunteers who can offer some regular time each week or month during weekdays or weekends.
Please note - As our city farm is visited by children and adults with additional needs, all farm volunteers must undergo DBS checks.
