Detailed description

Every entry in the Bidwell’s Town and Gown 10k races helps fund groundbreaking research and life-changing support for people living with muscle wasting conditions. The series has already raised over £2 million. We simply couldn’t put these events on without brilliant volunteers.

Our Bidwells Cambridge 10k race is an annual event that attracts 3,000 runners every year.

Every entry raises funds to help change the future of muscle wasting conditions. The Bidwells Town and Gown 10k series has already raised over £2 million. We simply couldn’t put these events on without brilliant volunteers.

Why volunteer?

You'll have a fun day soaking up the great atmosphere, all while developing new skills, enhancing your CV, and meeting new people. Additionally, it’s a fun and exciting way to give back to the community.

All volunteers will get a free charity t-shirt and a certificate to add to your portfolio. You also get a FREE place at one of our 2026 events.

As a Bidwells Town and Gown volunteer you will help the event run smoothly.

We are looking for information tent administrators, baggage tent coordinators, goody bag distributors, route marshals, water station marshals, and start & finish line marshals.

What we’re looking for in a Bidwells Town and Gown volunteer:

Friendly, enthusiastic volunteers who are reliable, team-oriented, and passionate about making a difference, with good communication skills and a willingness to assist in various tasks to ensure the event’s success. No prior experience required!
