Join us to learn all about what we do in the Communities and Education Team, and how you can get involved!
Do you want to share your expertise while gaining new skills and experience? Are you thinking about a career in wildlife or teaching, and would like some work experience to support this? We are looking for people passionate about nature and youth engagement to volunteer with us, helping with a variety of events and educational visits. Build your confidence and gain new skills while supporting us in delivering forest school, wildlife talks, career fairs, school visits and community events. You will receive internal guidance and training, with access to free conservation workshops and networking opportunities for monitoring and research experience. Want to find out more?
Join us at Ramsey Heights for the fantastic opportunity to chat with other volunteers and meet the Communities and Education team. Listen to a talk from one of our staff, where you'll learn about the amazing work taking place at the Great Fen, and how you can use your skills to support us. Have friendly discussions over tea and biscuits and learn a new practical skill, before ending the afternoon with a guided walk around Ramsey Heights Nature Reserve.
Please Note: Booking is required. If you have any questions, if there are ways that we can make this event more accessible for you, of if you are interested in volunteering but can't make the event, please do get in touch with Communities and Education Officer Laura at [email protected]

About Wildlife Trust BCN Great Fen
The Great Fen is a vast fenland landscape between Peterborough and Huntingdon, home to two National Nature Reserves - Holme Fen and Woodwalton Fen, protected for their unique habitat and the varied wildlife they support. The area is currently benefiting from one of the largest restoration projects of its type in Europe and the landscape is being restored and transformed for the benefit both of wildlife and of people. We offer a variety of volunteering opportunities and events for people to get closer to nature and make a positive impact on the environment.
