Trustees Needed

 Do you want to use your skills to create real impact in your community? 

Ely Foodbank is looking for a passionate new trustee to join our board and help drive awareness, fundraising, and long-term growth for one of the region’s most vital charities. 

This is more than a volunteer role — it’s a chance to help transform lives. 

Since 2012, Ely Foodbank has grown into a network supporting people across Ely, March, Chatteris, Soham, Cottenham, Haddenham, Burwell, and Waterbeach. Every day, we provide practical support, hope, and compassion to people facing crisis — whilst also working toward lasting solutions to poverty and hunger. 

We’d especially love to hear from people who: 

✨ Have experience in marketing, fundraising, or community engagement 

✨ Bring a lived experience or a fresh perspective 

✨ Represent the diverse communities and faith groups across our region 

✨ Care deeply about dignity, justice, and social impact 

No previous Trustee experience? That’s absolutely okay. Training and support are provided. 

📍 Commitment: 

• 6 Board meetings per year (online + Ely-based) 

• Around 3-6  hours per month depending on involvement 

• Flexible voluntary role with real influence 

Whilst our roots are in Christian values, we warmly welcome people of all faiths and none but who must share our commitment to supporting people with compassion and respect.
