About the Role

The Men's First Team Manager is responsible for leading Dudu Footy CIC’s senior men's football team. You will oversee all aspects of the team, including training, player development, squad selection, matchday preparation, and team culture.

This is more than a football management role; it is a leadership position that represents the values and identity of Dudu Footy CIC both on and off the pitch. You will work closely with the Football Session Coordinators, Community Engagement & Impact Officer, and wider leadership team to ensure the team competes with passion, discipline, respect, and a strong sense of community.

What you'll be doing:

  • Leading and managing all aspects of the Men’s First Team, including tactics, squad selection, motivation, team performance and matchday preparation.
  • Planning and delivering training sessions that help players improve and enjoy the game.
  • Organising player availability and communicating important match and training information ahead of time.
  • Coordinating matchday preparation, including player information, venue details, kick-off times, and team requirements.
  • Managing team administration, including team sheets and football registration requirements.
  • Building a positive team culture that reflects the values of Dudu Footy CIC.
  • Supporting players with feedback, development, and any challenges that may arise.
  • Working closely with other volunteers and the wider Dudu Footy CIC team.

What we're looking for:

  • A passion for football and an understanding of the game (football tactics, player development).
  • Good leadership, communication, and people management skills.
  • Experience playing, coaching, or managing football at any level.
  • Someone who can motivate others and create a positive team environment.
  • Reliable, organised, and committed to promoting respect, teamwork, and inclusion.

Previous formal coaching qualifications are welcomed but not essential. If you have the enthusiasm, leadership qualities, and commitment to support players, we would love to hear from you.
