About the Role
The Football Session Coordinator plays a vital role in ensuring Dudu Footy’s football programmes are welcoming, organised, safe, and enjoyable for everyone involved. You will be the on-the-ground organiser who ensures every training session and match day goes smoothly, from setting up the pitch to making sure players are registered and safe. We believe football is more than just a game. It is a way to build friendships, improve confidence, and strengthen communities.
We are looking for Football Session Coordinators to support our regular sessions on weekday evenings and sometime during the weekends. You do not need to be a qualified coach; we are looking for reliable and friendly people who can help ensure every session runs smoothly and everyone feels welcome.
What you'll be doing:
- Helping organise football sessions, training activities, and matchdays.
- Setting up and packing away equipment such as balls, cones, bibs, and first aid supplies.
- Welcoming players and helping create a positive and inclusive environment.
- Managing attendance and supporting player organisation during sessions.
- Supporting team allocation and ensuring sessions run smoothly.
- Reporting any injuries, incidents, or concerns to the relevant volunteer lead.
- Helping communicate with players, coaches, and other volunteers.
- Coordinating with pitch/facility management to ensure sessions have the necessary access and resources.
- Coordinating the collection of session fees from players or liaise with the Club Secretary regarding payments where applicable.
What we're looking for:
- Friendly, approachable, and passionate individuals who enjoy working with people.
- Reliable volunteers who can take initiative and work well as part of a team.
- Good communication and organisational skills.
- A passion for football, community engagement, and creating positive experiences for others.
- Previous experience in sport, youth work, or volunteering is welcome but not essential.
- Basic first aid knowledge is welcome.
Note: No previous coaching qualification is required. We will provide guidance and support, and we welcome volunteers from all backgrounds and levels of experience.
