About the Role
The Community Engagement & Impact Officer is at the heart of Dudu Footy CIC’s community work, leading the development, coordination, and delivery of initiatives that create meaningful social impact that responds to the needs of the Peterborough community. This is a people-centred, hands-on role focused on building meaningful relationships, identifying community needs, developing initiatives, and ensuring the impact of our work is captured and communicated.
You will be the person who helps shape what Dudu Footy CIC delivers beyond football, engaging with residents, schools, community groups, charities, and local organisations to identify needs, develop suitable activities, coordinate their delivery, and ensure the impact of our work is captured and communicated to support future growth, partnerships, and funding opportunities.
What you'll be doing:
- Leading community outreach activities and actively engaging with local residents, schools, charities, community groups, and other organisations to understand their needs and identify opportunities.
- Developing, planning, and coordinating community activities, events, workshops, and football initiatives.
- Managing the day-to-day organisation of projects, including planning, resources, and budgets.
- Building relationships with community groups, local organisations, and potential partners.
- Identifying funding opportunities and supporting grant applications and project proposals.
- Coordinating volunteers and participants involved in community activities.
- Gathering feedback and capturing stories that demonstrate the impact of Dudu Footy CIC’s work.
- Working with the content team to share community stories and achievements.
What we're looking for:
- Someone who enjoys working with people and building relationships.
- A proactive person who can turn ideas into practical activities.
- Good organisation, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- An interest in community development and creating positive social change.
- Experience in community work, event planning, fundraising, or project coordination is welcome but not essential.
