Enhancing the quality and comfort of the patient's stay, focusing on those with dementia. Use tools and equipment available to enhance engagement with patients.

Help improve patient experience by:

  • Spending time listening to patients and chatting
  • Add to the 'What's important to me' document at the patient's bedside
  • Engaging in appropriate activities e.g. using reminiscence boxes and dementia activity packs
  • Using RITAs - following training (RITA = Reminiscence Interactive Therapy Activity systems)
  • Reading for patients
  • Helping at mealtimes
