Detailed description

Curriculum & Planning Support Volunteer – EcoCoach CIC

Flexible, remote-friendly admin role (no child contact)

EcoCoach CIC is a child-first, community-focused organisation delivering inclusive PE, wraparound care, alternative provision, and holiday programmes across Cambridgeshire. As our services expand, we are looking for organised volunteers to help us keep our curriculum and planning resources clear, structured, and accessible for our coaching team.

This is a remote/admin-only role with zero child contact, ideal for someone who enjoys organisation, formatting, and supporting educational projects behind the scenes.

What you’ll be doing

You will support the structuring and organisation of EcoCoach’s lesson plans, planning documents, and curriculum resources by:

  • Formatting PE lesson plans and schemes of work
  • Helping organise digital curriculum folders in Google Drive
  • Updating or improving templates (wording provided)
  • Creating simple resource sheets or checklists
  • Preparing documents for our coaching team
  • Supporting the development of PE planning systems
  • Helping maintain consistency across all curriculum documents
  • Light research for planning improvements (optional)

No teaching experience required — this is organisational support, not curriculum writing.

Who this role is perfect for

Anyone who is:

  • organised and detail-focused
  • enjoys formatting, templates, and structure
  • comfortable with Google Docs, Word, or PDFs
  • interested in education, coaching, or planning
  • able to follow examples and apply consistency
  • reliable and able to work independently with guidance

Ideal for students (teaching/PE/sport), ex-teachers, or anyone wanting to support community education.

Time commitment

Flexible — typically 2–6 hours per week, depending on your availability.

Work can be completed remotely at any time.

What you’ll gain

  • Experience supporting curriculum and planning in a CIC
  • Practical skills in document formatting and educational organisation
  • A chance to contribute meaningfully to children’s PE and wellbeing
  • A supportive team and clear guidance
  • Experience valuable for teaching, coaching, admin, or education routes
  • Reimbursement of agreed expenses

Where the role takes place

  • Remote / from home, or
  • Optional Cambridge office for collaborative planning sessions

No DBS required — this role does not involve child contact.
