Summary

Provide essential admin and office support to help EcoCoach CIC run smoothly, including emails, scheduling, data entry and general organisational tasks.

Detailed description

Admin & Operations Support Volunteer (EcoCoach CIC)

EcoCoach CIC is a child-first, community-focused social enterprise providing wraparound care, alternative provision, holiday programmes, and inclusive community projects across Cambridgeshire and neighbouring areas. As we grow, we are seeking organised and reliable volunteers to support the essential behind-the-scenes work that keeps our organisation running effectively.

This is a flexible, admin-only role with no child contact. It can be completed remotely or from our Cambridge office. It is ideal for anyone who enjoys organisation, wants to support a meaningful cause, or is looking to gain experience in admin, operations, or the community sector.

What you’ll be doing

You will support our Director and Operations Lead with day-to-day office and operations tasks, including:

  • Sorting and drafting emails (using templates provided)
  • Updating spreadsheets and databases
  • Supporting rota management and scheduling
  • Preparing documents, forms and reports
  • Keeping digital files organised in Google Drive
  • Uploading and tidying paperwork for ongoing projects
  • Supporting booking system updates (training provided)
  • Assisting with volunteer systems and admin
  • Light data entry and general organisational tasks
  • Helping with simple funding admin or reporting where needed

No specialist knowledge is required — just the willingness to help and learn.

Who we’re looking for

You will be a good fit if you are:

  • Organised and detail-focused
  • Comfortable using basic computer tools (email, spreadsheets, Google Drive)
  • Able to work independently with clear instructions
  • Reliable and committed to helping a community-focused CIC
  • Friendly and open to learning new tasks

We welcome people of all backgrounds, including students, returners to work, retired professionals, and those seeking experience in a supportive environment.

Time commitment

This role is flexible — you choose what you can offer.

Most volunteers contribute 2–6 hours per week, but any regular support is appreciated.

What you’ll get from volunteering

  • Experience in community operations and non-profit administration
  • Training on our systems (Pebble, Google Workspace, filing systems)
  • The chance to support a growing CIC with a strong community mission
  • A supportive team environment
  • New skills in admin, organisation, and project support
  • Reimbursement of agreed expenses
  • The ability to fit volunteering around your life and routine

Where the role takes place

  • Remote / from home
  • Optional: Cambridge office (admin only)
  • No child contact. No safeguarding or DBS required.

Why this role matters

Effective admin and operations are the backbone of every programme EcoCoach delivers. By supporting our back-office systems, you directly help us reach more families, improve services, and strengthen our impact across the community.
